Jujutsu Kaisen: Aoi Todo Returns To Fight Sukuna (2024)

Jujitsu Kaisen chapter 259 shocked the fans in many ways and one of the most exciting parts of the chapter came towards the end, when a beloved character who had been gone for long finally returned to join the action once again.

This character was none other than Aoi Todo, who fans hold very dear to their hearts for all the right reasons. Todo has proven himself to be an incredibly fantastic character over the years, and now, in the final battle against Sukuna, he is ready to deliver once again, against all odds.

Todo played quite an active role in Jujutsu Kaisen at the beginning of the series. He was properly introduced to the fans in the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, and from there onwards, his role only got better. Todo formed quite a fantastic relationship with Yuji Itadori, even though he was tasked with his elimination at first. The two became just like brothers', and Todo trained Yuji in the art of black flash. If that wasn't enough, Todo and Yuji fought together in many battles to come. They fought against Hanami at the same time and did incredibly well in this battle, showcasing their amazing teamwork and perseverance. Despite not having a very powerful curse technique, his strength, along with his incredible resolve and resourcefulness sees to it that he always fights at the highest level.

In the Shibuya arc, Todo made an entry later down the line and helped Yuji greatly in the battle against Mahito. This was an incredible battle in which Todo contributed greatly, thanks to his Boogie Woogie, and opened up the way for Yuji to defeat Mahito. This was a phenomenal battle, but, sadly, it was also the last one that the fans would get to witness from him for a very long time. This is down to the fact that Todo ended up taking severe injuries in this fight, as he lost one of his hands to Mahito's cursed technique. According to him, Boogie Woogie was dead in this battle, and that he could not utilize it anymore. Because of that, he was not active in the series anymore, however, fans still held hope for him to return later down the line. Now, that is precisely what seems to have happened. In JJK chapter 259, Aoi Todo makes his grand return and fans are incredibly excited to see how he'll go on to contribute to the battle from here onwards and what is new about him after all these years of disappearance.

Aoi Todo played a massive role in JJK chapter 259, much to the surprise of the fans. At this point in the story, almost no fan was expecting Todo to return, and this is especially down to the fact that it is almost too late for new characters to be introduced in the battle against the King of Curses. Sukuna is on his last legs already and all the sorcerers that have fought him brilliantly chipped at his defenses little by little. Now, Yuji could go on to defeat Sukuna by himself, however, as was proven in JJK chapter 259, he still needed one last push from someone and this individual ended up being none other than Aoi Todo once again.

Todo was introduced in the chapter after Sukuna's Divine Flames attack went off. Following the mass incineration of the battlefield, Yuji was left utterly hopeless and shocked. In his mind, everyone around him died and got vaporized in front of him. However, that is precisely when Todo walked in and let Yuji know that he was able to move them out of the domain and to safety. That said, Todo could not guarantee that they were fine.

However, if these characters had died, then the fans would have got proper confirmation in this chapter. The fact that Gege did not confirm that they were dead just goes to show that Todo was successful in moving them out of the domain and back to safety. This also means that all the other sorcerers are now going to stay away from the battle and that the only ones who will fight against Sukuna are Todo and Yuji.

In doing so, Todo also managed to steel the resolve of Yuji Itadori, as he is now up again to fight against the King of Curses, Ryomen sukuna. Yuji is most definitely going to fight alongside his brother, once again, and it is going to be incredibly amazing for the fans to witness this battle of the highest level.

Todo Joins The Battle Vs Sukuna

Todo And Boogie Woogie Enter The Fight Against Sukuna

As was evident in JJK chapter 259, Todo has now joined the battle against Ryomen Sukuna. This is going to be the final battle in JJK, and it is highly likely that this battle will mirror the one that these two fought against Mahito in Shibuya. It is going to be extremely interesting to see how this fight shapes up. The very first thing that fans need to keep in mind is that Sukuna cannot utilize his curse technique at this point in time, and this is down to the fact that he gambled on using his domain and then Divine Flames shortly after. Because of that, his body is much weaker right now and this gives Yuji and Todo the perfect opportunity to land blows on the King of Curses.

At the same time, fans also need to take into consideration what Todo has joined the battle with. Clearly, his left hand was seen under wraps in this chapter. It is evident that he's wearing some sort of a prosthetic on his hand and fans know for a fact that he can still utilize Boogie Woogie. It is using this technique that he saved everyone around him, but the mystery of his hand still remains up in the air. As such, fans fully expect Jjk chapter 259 to deliver proper exposition on what exactly happened to Todo’s cursed technique and how he felt its heartbeat once again. It would also explain what exactly the prosthetic he's wearing on his arm is and how it affects him while fighting.

Above all, Todo is now going to be showcasing what is new about him after such a long fighting period. Fans should brace themselves for a proper team battle of the duo of Todo and Yuji against the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. From here onwards, the path to victory has now been opened up by Choso and these two only need to combine their powers to take down the ultimate villain of JJK.
