As a sophom*ore at Laguna Creek High School, EGUSD has helped me strive to not only be a better learner but also to be a helping person in society. EGUSD always has strived to make its students successful, hardworking, and caring people in the workforce or in the army. Its MYP and IB path gives an opening to not only me but to also other students trying to go to an international school and study abroad. The teachers and the facilities helped me become comfortable with the school and with my peers. I have to say EGUSD can work on improving its help to other people in the community. EGUSD helps students in their district but sometimes leaves others out in the community, especially parents and guardians. I believe that if EGUSD fix this problem, this would be in my own opinion, the best district in California.

I love Elk Grove United School District. With all the clubs and sports available, it makes school fun and entertaining. Yet this school district has some down sides with it as well, for my personal experience, when I was trying to attend a certain high school with a prestigious engineering program, they denied me, even tho their policies say that if you get into the engineering program, you get into the school, but they claimed that they had max capacity of African Americans at their school, which means that the district had to force me into Elk Grove High School.

Theres a mix of great teachers and bad teachers, i've had experiences with both and i found out that the teachers are the main thing that impact your grade. The bad teachers i've had do the bare minimun when it comes to teaching the courses. I feel like this problem could be made better if we had a website or forum specifically rating and having student's talk about their own experiences with that teacher and class.
